I wouldn't say exactly that I am not a morning person, but I need at least a good 5 minutes to sort of shake off the brain fog a bit. Give me say, 15 minutes, and I'm good to go...
So this morning, only about 30 seconds into awakeness, as I puttered around the kitchen (Aiden had awoken me by asking for an apple), there was a quite startling....
...CrAsH!!
And I turned from the sink to find...

Well, it wasn't a wall of glass - only a vase that had fallen from the top of the fridge. But I think this photo acturately portrays the amount of shards, chips, slivers and dangerously sharp glass dust that was strewn across the entire breadth of kitchen floor and buffet counter top.
It woke me up - pronto.
No need for coffee this morning.
I'm awake - I'm ready.
It's going to be a good morning....
